Regardless of the original format, Transit's import process separates and protects formatting information so that this data is never lost during the translation phase, thus significantly reducing the cost of formatting documents once translated.
The text to be translated is converted into a completely transparent format: Unicode text with XML tags. These are the working files used by the translator which then form part of the translation memory once translated.
Thanks to this unique structure based on text files, Transit avoids the all to frequent problems of performance, damaged databases and inaccessible translation memories encountered when using other products.
