If you often receive translation memories in TMX format and are wondering about how to use them in Transit, here is a quick way to convert them into language pairs to be used in Transit NXT as reference material.

Select  TMX interface | Import TMX from the Reference material button in the resource bar as shown in the figure below:

Note: Select Export TXM if you want to convert your language pairs to TMX format.

Select the TMX file to be converted and a folder for the resulting language pairs and click on the Start import button. That's it! Just one more step and your converted language pairs are ready to be used as reference material.

Open the converted language pairs in Transit and change the status of all the segments in the target language file(s) to Translated. In order to open the language pairs, select Project | Administration | Setting. Copy the path where the converted language pairs are located in the Folders tab, set the appropriate languages in the Language tab and select the language pairs in the Files tab. Now click on Project | Administration | Open language pair to open the language pairs and set the status of all segments to Translated by selecting Review | Proofreading | File status as shown in the figure below:

That's it. Your language pairs are now ready to be used as reference material.
