Managing Tags in Transit NXT

STAR Campus: Tags - Always in the way

Beginners webinar for translators and project managers about formatting tags and markups and how to deal with them in STAR's computer assisted translation tool Transit NXT.

Manage tags correctly

Formatting tags and markups are a part of many translation projects. However, they shouldn’t distract translators from their work. Transit offers several options for assigning markups “discreetly” and for adding them quickly and easily during the QA process. This enables translators, even those with only basic knowledge of the program, to focus on their core task: translating text.

In this webinar, you will learn how to deal with markups in a language pair and how to carry out quality assurance for markups.

Content

You will start by learning why markups are necessary in the first place and about the different types of markups in the Transit editor. You will learn how to handle markups as you translate. We will also show you the most important keyboard shortcuts, as well as a very simple method for inserting any kind of markup. Finally, we’ll explain the review process for markups and how to fix any last-minute issues.

This webinar is aimed at participants with no previous knowledge of Transit or with little experience of working with markups in Transit. If you would like to learn about how to deal with QA markups in Transit, then this webinar is right for you.
